Petal the Flower Faery

Petal the Flower Faery!
Petal isn't like the other forest faeries. She doesn't quite fit in - literally! She's half-giant! Growing up with her father being a giant and her mother a faery, Petal did not sprout wings. Instead she is a ground faery. You can see where she's been, as she leaves petals and 4-leaf clovers in her footsteps. Petal learns though she is different, she is still a faery and learns to accept herself and have fun!

Petal develops real friendships and goes on several adventures, with her friends and those she meets: Ship Captain Indigo "Indi" Ocean Blue, Bee, Moss, Luna, Oak the Playful, and Trixella Morel with a mushroom village of 100 faeries at her side on multiple adventures. Illustrations for the book inspired by real-life photography.

While at these appearances, I've made notes and storylines which I am including in the Petal books. I'm writing it by hand, in pen, and editing it afterwards. It's been quite fun doing things the old school way - sans computer input. (If you've met me this summer, there's a chance I've written a storyline about it!). I'll make a page introducing the main characters soon!
I'm doing three Petal books, based on how I write. I'm old school. I love to write lengthly books and novels. How I'm writing Petal reads similar to an adventure like Peter Pan or Narnia. This will be published for the older kids to read (ages 8-13ish) and then extrapolating from that a storyline for the younger children (ages 3-8ish). They will be books your child can grow with and characters they will love!
The third book is in Manga style (like Anime but for books) and in graphic novel format. This is a nod to my time spent living in Japan in my teenage years, for several years on the most southern island of Kyushu. It will read from right to left, with the book spine on the right side of the front cover - as is the style of Japanese books. I can't wait to show it to you!
