Haunted Book Party Events
In 2007, when I first published "The Ghost of Colby Drive" - Book one in the 'mis-adventures of Alyson Bell' YA Series, I held a book signing event at one of the local parks at their picnic area. It was woodsy and forested and made for a great setting to act out and stage a page right out of the book! I asked several of my friends if they would do a scene from the book, dressed them in costume and gave a few props, and away we went. Montreal Bard and Storyteller, John David Hickey aka "Hobbes" played my villain, Hremm Nevar. At the time, I also participated in one of the local drum circles, so we had several people bring djembe drums and other hand drums, digderidoos, and we had a blast making music in the forest!
Coming this summer! I'm planning a Haunted Book Party 2025 Event for the release of the 7th book - Alyson's Diary AKA The Book of the Sacred Seven Sisters. It'll likely be in August and in a forest TBD.

Haunted Book Party 2007 Cast Introduction:
After the success of the initial Haunted Book Party, we decided to do another for the follow-up book, "The Curse of the Moonless Knight" which came out the following year in 2008. Like the previous one, this event was also held in a park at a forested picnic area. We made it have a Renaissance Faire theme, as there is a RenFest in book two which plays a part of the story. There were dancers, drummers, tarot readers, fortune telling, and more! It was quite fun. I was also 8 months pregnant at the time with my son.
