A Novel Idea

A good story deserves to be told. Writing has always been something I've loved. My first short story I can recall penning was about a ferret named Scooter going on an adventure (a fictional tale) in about Gr. 6 or 7.

In 2004, I was working as an editor for an author friend of mine, Eric D. Goodman. He invited me to participate in the NaNoWriMo challenge, which was to write a novel of 50,000 words in one month's time during November that year. I did and after many edits, "The Ghost of Colby Drive" was born.

I spent the next several years working towards getting published and thinking of my next book. In 2007, I decided to get my book in print and so I first published using Lulu.com. The original cover for "The Ghost of Colby Drive" is one of the Lulu templates. Once I saw it in print, I talked with several book publishers and authors, and decided to publish with Lightning Source and Ingram Spark. The quality of books was wonderful and creating books by "print-on-demand" was both an efficient and an eco-friendly way of being in print.

In 2004, The Tenth Muse Books was created and in 2024, an imprint called Turtle Bridge was created with the launch of the children's book series "My Day in Perth". I've published my own works as well as for others through this company.
