All previously released books will be available for purchase (books one through four). Other author titles are also available. Many artisans and crafters, with homemade gifts just in time for Yule! As well as something new this year... a psychic faire for those interested in having readings done with various forms of divination or angelic guides.

There will be a raffle for gift baskets put together by our artisans. All proceeds benefit the Ottawa Food Bank. Accepting non-perishable food donations also for the Ottawa Food Bank.

Entrance is free. As always, it's lots of fun for those who attend.

The 2nd annual Haunted Book Party

NOTE: it is mentioning rain for sometime on the weekend, but weather is so unpredictable. Unless it's a complete downpour when the party begins on Saturday, expect it to still be going on.


Andrew Haydon Park (Carling Ave & Holly Acres), near the grove at marker C7 and Keeley Falls ... it's right on the waterfront at the farthest west end of the parking lot. It's less crowded on this side and the groves provide ample shade.

To celebrate the release of Book Two: The Curse of the Moonless Knight by Kristin Groulx and to have loads of fun doing so with friends and family. This is a small venue and by invitation (find me on facebook for an invite). Guests may bring a friend.

Welcome to the annual Haunted Book Party event for 2008! A few things to expect, in a beautiful park setting along the waterfront are:


☆ ~~~ djembe drummers (bring your drums!) - let's have a fun time jamming together at a drum circle! ... and yes, I play too :)

☆ ~~~ belly dancing solo and duet

☆ ~~~ tarot and/or rune readers and seers, gypsies, ball gazers (Personalized readings available. It is encouraged to bring some shiny gold and silver pieces to tip our wonderful oracles for their time and energy. Tips vary on length of reading, but generally $5 is appreciated.)

☆ ~~~ costumed actors as rogues, thieves and pirates and lots of wenches...

☆ ~~~ book signing (I will have a select amount of books on hand, but will take pre-paid orders on the spot. Book one and two are available for $20/each and can be autographed and personalized. If I need to ship the book to you, please add $8 (outside of Ottawa vicinity) or $5 (within Ottawa). Cash and checks accepted on-site.)

☆ ~~~ refreshments and hor d'oevres

☆ ~~~ prizes including gift cards (including the $25 Chapters gift card from the Bell Walk for Kids Help Phone), and 6 original book proofs, autographed, including my copy I read from last years Haunted Book Party scene re-enactment.

Tickets: "pass-the-hat" donation (loonie or toonie for adults, children under 12 free).

Out of respect to the other patrons at this public park, this event is "dry"... no alcohol please.

Haunted Book Party

Who doesn't love to be at a haunted book party? This was so much fun!!! Thanks to all who attending and made this event possible ;) August 19th, we held a haunted book party to celebrate the release of The Ghost of Colby Drive. After a scavenger hunt involving finding hidden wooden rune necklaces amongst the tree groves, the cast re-enacted a scene from the book, and an evening drum circle continued until after dark.
